Treasured Birth

    Welcome  to "Treasured Birth"!  

    My name is Kelly Martin, and I am a birth doula.  I am so  glad that you have taken the time to come
    and visit my website to learn more about me and what I love doing, helping women have a positive,
    empowered birth experience!

    Some of the experiences that have led me to where I am today, as a doula are:

     -   Birthing my three children, two with the help of a birth doula.  
     -   Being a licensed in-home daycare provider for 13 years.
     -   Homeschooling my own children for 12 years.
     -   Being a DONA Certified Birth Doula, attending births for more than ten years.
     -   Being a Natural Childbirth Educator (Currently with Childbirth International).
     -   I am able to perform your Placenta Encapsulation.
     -   Being an American Red Cross Certified Nursing Assistant.
     -   I am certified in infant, child and adult CPR through the American Heart Association.
     -   I am pursuing my college education at the University of Minnesota with a degree in
         Gender, Women and Sexuality,
         as well as being a Pre- Registered Nursing Student.
     -   I am a student of midwifery.
     -   And I hope to attend your birth!

    I believe that working with expectant parents is a special calling that requires intuitiveness,   
    understanding and empathy, and education.  Each and every birth is a wonderful and unique gift and a
    valuable "treasure".  Luke, Chapter 12, verse 34 says:  "For where your treasure is, there your heart
    will be also."  My heart is for birth.
