Welcome to "Treasured Birth"! My name is Kelly Martin, and I am DONA certifying birth doula. I am so glad that you have taken the time to come and visit my website to learn more about me and what I love doing, helping women have a positive, empowered birth experience! Some of the experiences that have led me to where I am today, as a doula are: - Birthing my three children, two with the help of a birth doula. - I was a licensed in-home daycare provider for 13 years. - I have homeschooled my own children for 10 years. - I am Certifying to be a DONA Birth Doula, and have been attending births as a Birth Doula for six years now. - I am a Natural Childbirth Educator; - I am an American Red Cross Certified Nursing Assistant; - I am pursuing my college education as a Registered Nurse; - I am a student of midwifery through Ancient Art of Midwifery Institute; - And I hope to attend your birth! I believe that working with expectant parents is a special calling that requires intuitiveness, understanding and empathy, and education. Each and every birth is a wonderful and unique gift and a valuable "treasure". |
