    Welcome  to "Treasured Birth"!  

    My name is Kelly Martin, and I am DONA certifying birth doula.  I am so  glad that you have taken
    the time to come and visit my website to learn more about me and what I love doing, helping
    women have a positive, empowered birth experience!

    Some of the experiences that have led me to where I am today, as a doula are:

     -   Birthing my three children, two with the help of a birth doula.  
     -   Being a licensed in-home daycare provider for 13 years.
     -   Homeschooling my own children for 11 years.
     -   Being a DONA Birth Doula, attending births for ten years.
     -   Being a Natural Childbirth Educator.
     -   Being an American Red Cross Certified Nursing Assistant.
     -   Pursuing my college education as a Pre-Nursing Student.
     -   I am a student of midwifery through Ancient Art of Midwifery Institute.
     -   I hope to attend your birth!

    I believe that working with expectant parents is a special calling that requires intuitiveness,   
    understanding and empathy, and education.  Each and every birth is a wonderful and unique gift
    and a valuable "treasure".
